The government has allocated Rs. 76 million for the development of the Integrated Road Traffic Management (ITTMS) system developed under the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Border Improvement Project.
The project includes state-of-the-art facilities at Wagah, Torkham and Shaman border crossing points, official sources said, adding that once completed, it would lead to a significant reduction in processing times. at border crossing points.
"The project is of great strategic importance both from a commercial and security point of view," they added.
The government had allocated Rs 480 million to the project under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for 2019-2020, with foreign aid of Rs 100 million, official sources said.
