Government to spend 581.8 million rupees on six oil projects

The Government will spend Rs 581.812 million on four ongoing projects and two new petroleum projects under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP 2019-20) to achieve self-sufficiency in the energy sector.

According to official data, 433.852 billion rupees were allocated under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP 2019-2020) for four ongoing projects, of which 4.16.535 billion would be devoted to the acquisition of four drilling rigs equipped with accessories for the Geological Survey of Pakistan, Rs 3,655 million for the evaluation of the recently discovered coal resources of the Badin coalfield and its adjacent areas in southern Sindh, Rs 10,553 million for coal exploration and evaluation in the Nosham and Bahlol Baluchistán regions; and Rs 3.109 million for the exploration and evaluation of metallic minerals in the Uthal and Bela regions of Lasbela district.
