No IMF SOS Mission, Re-publication of Program: Ministry of Finance

(APP) - The Finance Ministry categorically refuted the claims of some media that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will send an SOS mission to Pakistan due to the financial results of 2018-2019 and may resume the program

"It has been said that both the statements are completely false and not based on actual facts," the ministry said in a statement issued.

He said the next IMF mission was an employee visit and coincided with the visit of the Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Department for the Middle East and Central Asia.

The director's visit to Pakistan was scheduled for September after the end of the program, saying that it was absolutely wrong to explain the fact that the IMF staff mission was an SOS-type mission, as it had been planned for a long time. .

He said that the IMF was renegotiating the program was also wrong.

He said, "The Pakistani government is strongly committed to implementing the policies and reforms set out in the IMF-supported program."
